TWU Honors Scholarship

The program seeks motivated and talented students from a variety of backgrounds and majors. Admission is based on a broad range of criteria including academics, leadership, service, and life experiences. Generally, candidates should be able to demonstrate academic promise through ONE of the following:

• a composite score of 28 or higher on the ACT or the equivalent on the SAT (M+V)
• graduation in the top 5% of high school class,
• a minimum g.p.a. of 3.5 after 15 hours of college credit at TWU, or
• completion of an honors program at a two-year college.

  2. Upload your Honors Scholarship Essay using one of the two topics in approximately 300 - 500 words: 1). We often use metaphors to help us understand our world and persuade others. Write about a metaphor that you think aptly captures your approach to learning and how does this metaphor demonstrate what you value in education. 2) Albert Einstein said, "Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value." How will you use your education to develop into a person "of value?"
