Ellan M. and William R. Marsh Endowed Scholarship Fund - (Dallas Nursing)

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a stream of income support students within the college of Nursing on the Dallas campus. The scholarship committee for the College of Nursing, after consulting with the RN to BS/MS Coordinator, shall select recipients annually.

Criteria:

  • The student, preferably female, is enrolled on the Dallas campus
  • The student is a Registered Nurse enrolled in the RN to BS or RN to MS program
  • The student is preferably, a single parent financially responsible for dependent child(ren)
  • The student is to demonstrate financial need
  • The student’s financial need is documented on the scholarship application form through a paragraph written by the RN explaining the factors contributing to their financial need
  • A letter of recommendation is required. The letter must be from a church leader and indicates the level of participation that the applicant has with his/her church
  • Applicants should submit a short paragraph explaining the development of their moral character from a Biblical perspective and what role their Christian worldview perspective will have in obtaining their education and therefore their impact on fellow classmates at TWU. It is noted that the Donors who established the fund are Christian and desire that intentional Christianity be a significant part of the recipient’s life.
