Carmen Maria Mestres Hank Scholarship Endowment
The Carmen Maria Mestres Hank Scholarship Endowment was created by Joseph Hank to honor the life of Carmen Maria (Mestres) Hank, a TWU Biology alumna from the Class of 1971 who immigrated from Cuba as a child and built a life of devotion, resilience, and service alongside her husband of more than 52 years. Carmen earned her degree at TWU, completed her Medical Technology certification at Parkland Hospital, and supported her family through nearly three decades as a military spouse. This endowment celebrates her legacy at the university that shaped her education and her extraordinary life.
