TWU President's Leadership Council - (PLC)
The President’s Leadership Council (PLC) is a four-year leadership and service experience housed within the Scholar Programs Department at Texas Woman’s University. Designed for students who have demonstrated meaningful service and strong leadership potential, PLC is for those who are eager to grow, contribute, and take on greater responsibility during their college experience. The program equips scholars to develop as Pioneers of Service — students who lead through action, initiative, and a commitment to making a positive impact on campus and in the community.
PLC Scholars participate in a structured, cohort-based experience that includes:
• A four-year leadership development pathway
• Peer mentorship during the first year
• Enrollment in UNIV 1231 with fellow scholars
• Participation in the Scholar Living Learning Community (LLC)
• Active involvement in the President’s Leadership Council and Scholar Programs Student Organization
• Service initiatives, leadership workshops, campus engagement opportunities, and community involvement
President’s Leadership Council is one of the largest scholar communities within Scholar Programs and plays a significant role in shaping the culture of service, engagement, and leadership across the organization.
Through these intentional experiences, scholars strengthen their leadership capacity, deepen their commitment to service, build meaningful connections, and prepare to lead with integrity throughout their time at TWU and beyond.
