- NOTE - To apply for Visual Arts scholarships: submit samples of your work from the categories below by the March 1 deadline. Submissions must reflect your strongest most recent work. Follow directions below and compile all required materials into a single PDF document with your name at the top of ea. page. Images of your artwork must be professional quality. - STUDIO ART - (may include Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography, Fibers, Video, Mixed Media and Digital Fabrication)-- Submit a portfolio in PDF format of 10 high quality images of your strongest recent original artwork. Each image should be of high quality, labeled in 11 pt. font size with the title, media, dimensions (HxWxD) in inches, and date completed. ****No more than 2 artwork samples in the Studio Art category can include AI generated content, and must be clearly marked as such.
- GRAPHIC DESIGN – submit a portfolio in PDF format including 10 high quality images of your strongest recent original work. Examples must be graphic design and/or illustration focused. Works should be labeled in 11 pt. font size with the title, media, dimensions (HxWxD) in inches, and date completed. The single PDF document should include your name at the top of each page.
- ART EDUCATION - Submit one pdf with a 300 word written response to the following short essay prompt: Please reflect on a specific art experience (with an art project, a community arts event, a specific artist, or with an art teacher) that directly influenced your passion for wanting to pursue a career in art education. You should also submit 3 high quality images of your strongest recent original artwork, labeled in 11 pt. font size with the title, media, dimensions (HxWxD) in inches, and date completed. The single PDF document should include your name at the top of each page.
- ART HISTORY AND VISUAL CULTURE – Submit one pdf including the following: 2 writing samples (e.g., class assignment, essay, and other forms of academic writing) at least one of which must be art-focused. Writing samples must each have at least a 200 word count, double-spaced, and 11 pt font. Optional: include up to 3 images of artwork samples. Any artworks should be high quality images of your strongest recent original artwork that are labeled in 11 pt. font size with the title, media, dimensions (HxWxD) in inches, and date completed. The single PDF document should include your name at the top of each page.
