Margaret Spangler Shipley Endowed Scholarship in Library Science (SLIS)

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a stream of income to support a scholarship to be used for a student pursuing a degree in the School of Library and Information Studies using the following criteria:

• Application Dates – Opens July 1, Closes March 1
• Awarding Department – College of Professional Education
• Department Contact – cope@twu.edu
• Level – Graduate or Undergraduate
• Classification – Any
• Major – Library and Information Studies
• Minimum Cumulative GPA – 3.0
• Minimum Enrollment Requirement – 12 credit hours (undergraduate), 9 credit hours (graduate)
• Minimum Total Credit Hours Earned – NA
• Renewability – may be held for a total of 2 (masters), 3 (doctoral), 4 (undergraduate) consecutive years, or completion of degree, if all requirements are met
• FAFSA – not required
• Other – Merit based
Submission of Post Acceptance responses within the deadline (scholarship will not disburse until this is completed)
