Helen Anderson Taliaferro Library Science Endowed Scholarship (SLIS)

Mrs. Helen Anderson Taliaferro earned her Bachelor of Arts in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University in 1942. After graduation, Helen pursued a lifelong career with the United States Air Force Library Program. As Chief of Reader Services at the Air University Library at Maxwell Air Force Base, she was the highest ranking female within the Air Force Library Program. Over the years, Helen has always had a strong sense of the value of her education at TWU, recognizing that it prepared her for her future career path.
