Dr. John A. Guinn Endowed Scholarship

Dr. John A. Guinn Endowed Scholarship was created in honor of Dr. John A. Guinn. John Alonzo Guinn became president of Texas State College for Women in 1950 and served until his death in 1976. His years as president were marked by a dramatic increase in enrollment, the opening of new campuses and expansion of facilities on the Denton campus, and the creation of new programs and expanded research.
