Les Dames D'Escoffier Scholarship Endowment in Nutrition & Food Sciences (Nutrition)

The Les Dames D’Escoffier Scholarship Endowment in Nutrition & Food Sciences was established to provide a stream of income to full-time undergraduate student in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences. Preference will be given to students who have a desire to support the advancement of women in the fields of nutrition, food sciences and hospitality.

Criteria for consideration:
Must be a Texas resident
Must have successfully completed a minimum of 12 college credit hours with a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA
Recipient will have demonstrated activities related to nutritional sciences/food sciences/culinary (e.g. work experience) including a range of personal activities which exemplify a keen appreciation and understanding of nutrition, food, wine and the arts of the table; thoughtful and innovative approaches to bringing the science of nutrition, food, wine and hospitality to greater understanding and appreciation; be a worthy representative of the nutrition, food, wine and hospitality industry and who will be a credit to Les Dames d’Escoffier.
Students with only one semester remaining will will not be considered unless they are a renewal and enrolled in at least 9 semester hours
In any given year, if there are no students who meet the criteria, the applicable distribution amount will be applied to the following year’s award.

Selection will be made by the Scholarship Committee of the University or its designee will select recipients of the scholarship based on the previously referenced criteria.

This scholarship can be renewed for a maximum of 4 years
