Joseph Melancon Excellence in the Visual Arts Scholarship
The Joseph Melancon Excellence in the Visual Arts Scholarship was established to provide a stream of income to support a scholarship in the Department of Visual Arts. The Scholarship will be awarded by the Department of Visual Arts Scholarship Committee. The Committee will vet potential candidates based on the minimum requirements below:
- Be an art major
- Submit a portfolio review of art or research paper for art history majors
- Be eligible to receive financial aid
Priority will be given to candidates who possess an undergraduate degree in the Arts and after having worked in a field of art, is returning to TWU to pursue a post-graduate degree in Fine Art.
If no candidates meet the priority criteria above, the award will be made available to a graduate student selected by the Department of Visual Arts Scholarship Committee.
