Dr. Lettie K. Albright Graduate Scholarship in Reading

The Dr. Lettie K. Albright Graduate Scholarship in Reading was established to provide a stream of income to support a scholarship to be used for student(s) pursuing a graduate degree in the Department of Reading. The recipient must fulfill the following requirement:

  • Be pursuing a graduate degree in Reading from TWU
  • Be a current graduate student
  • Be eligible to receive financial aid
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent
  • Provide evidence of financial need

  2. Have you been admitted into the TWU Graduate School by the Department of Reading in pursuit of the M.Ed. or M.A.or PhD. in Reading?
  3. Will you be enrolled in at least 6 graduate hours each fall and spring?
  4. Please upload an essay explaining the reasons you are pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in reading. (financial need optional)
  5. Request two (2) letters of recommendation from academic faculty who can verify your commitment to the teaching of reading and interest in pursuing a doctoral degree.
