Linda Winter Littenberg
Linda Winter Littenberg earned her degree in Vocational Home Economics Education from TWU in 1978. Drawing inspiration from her family’s passion for education, she embarked on a career teaching Home Economics in both Texas and New Jersey high schools. Following her marriage to Abe Littenberg and the birth of their son, Linda’s focus shifted towards Early Childhood Education. In 2007, Linda and Abe assumed leadership roles at A Child’s Place School in Lincroft, New Jersey, a school influenced by the educational philosophy of Reggio Emilia in Italy. This philosophy emphasizes nurturing children’s innate curiosity, with teachers crafting the curriculum around their interests, recognizing that children thrive when they feel valued and heard. A Child’s Place School adopts a project-based, emergent curriculum approach.
In recognition of the importance of supporting aspiring educators, Linda established the Linda Littenberg Scholarship at TWU. T
