Dr. Sheila K. Whitaker-Kellagher '81,'17
Dr. Sheila K. Whitaker-Kellagher. Sheila has more than 30 years of experience in the development and provisions of rehabilitation services including long term, outpatient, and acute care service settings. She is highly respected in the healthcare community as an innovator in the way that skilled therapy services are delivered to patients both through inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. Sheila currently serves as CEO and Principal Partner ofTruCare Solutions. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Texas Woman’s University receiving her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1981 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2017. She serves as adjunct faculty and guest lecturer for several university physical therapy programs in Texas. She was appointed to the TWU Board of Regents in 1994, serving a six-year term including board chair in 1998 and 1999. She currently serves on the TWU Foundation Board of Directors and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1995.
Impact
The Dr. Sheila K. Kellagher Program Endowment for Physical Therapy shall be used at the discretion of the director(s) of the university’s School of Physical Therapy to support the overall needs of the physical therapy program. Endowment can support scholarships at the discretion of the director.
