Texas Woman’s University has received a generous planned gift from Amelia “Diana” Wysocki, a cherished alumna who graduated in 1967 with her BS in Biology. This gift establishes a scholarship endowment dedicated to supporting students majoring in biology. Diana fondly remembered her time at TWU and credited the strong academic foundation provided by our esteemed faculty for much of her success. Through this endowment, Diana wished to offer similar opportunities to future students, enabling them to achieve their dreams.
Diana Wysocki passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024. Born and raised in Laredo, Texas. Diana cherished her time as a resident of Big Bend Ranch near Terlingua and treasured the friendships she formed there. She was an avid traveler, with memorable trips to far-off places such as Australia, New Zealand, China, Israel, the British Isles, Africa, and Mexico. Back home, she dedicated her time to volunteering with the American Red Cross and served as a member of the Texas National Guard.
Diana’s legacy will live on through the scholarship endowment, which will empower countless students to pursue their passion for biology and carry forward the spirit of adventure and service that Diana embodied.
